Leo Burnett Chicago helps a flightless bird soar to new heights with some tech motivation.

Never mind 60 million years of evolutionary pressures. All it takes for ostriches to fly is a little inspiration from Samsung and a lot of encouragement from Elton John. Accompanying the release of the Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone, an adorable 90-second TV spot from Leo Burnett Chicago also rolls out a new tagline, “Do What You Can’t.”

Samsung is hoping a pretty new phone will distract from the awful PR of exploding batteries that plagued its Note 7 series, and this uplifting little film is a good step in that direction. The agency also created a lengthy unboxing video for viewers more interested in tech specs than the triumph of gumption over gravity.
